The CDTI’s NEOTEC Grant Program finances the implementation of new business projects that require the use of technologies or knowledge developed from research activity, in which the business strategy is based on the development of technology. The grant is a recognition of the value and relevance of the research activity of CIRCE and Apploading.
APPLOADING
Apploading, headed by Massimo De Favero, has been selected to receive the NEOTEC grants through a project that aims to develop innovative Technological Solutions for mobile devices in various fields, specifically in the field of Mental Health. The Apploading project called Mentalcheck is a multi-platform tool that will allow psychologists and psychiatrists to evaluate and treat patients or users through Mobile Devices as a complement to the face-to-face intervention in consultation, or as a means for intervention in the framework of telecare. Moreover, as Massimo D’Favero informed, the company plans to diversify this technology to the Biocheck platform for its application in biomedical research.
CIRCE
Fernando Barrera, CEO of the company CIRCE Cristal Engineering, expects to hire through this grant two people who will continue the search for new molecules (currently in the patent process) with potential applications for the food and pharmaceutical industry, and with which the active ingredient could be licensed in the coming years. Thus, CIRCE will add this NEOTEC aid to the investment obtained through Caixa Capital Risc, as a result of the good results obtained in the product tests, and the interest generated by the company after being winner of calls such as Emprendedor XXI.
