800,000 euros to adapt to new sanitary requirements
The objective of the Council’s call, with two lines of aid endowed with a total of 800,000 euros, is to support the productive fabric of Mallorca, largely made up of self-employed and small companies, to protect it and help it to reduce the economic impact derived from the health crisis caused by Covidien-19.
The first line of aid, endowed with 500,000 euros, includes subsidies for the purchase of sanitary products, in compliance with the new hygiene and safety protocols, such as individual protection material (masks, face shields, hydroalcoholic gel, etc.), cleaning of the premises, signage, training in risk prevention or obtaining the “safe commerce” seal.
The second line of aid, to which 300,000 euros are allocated, focuses on the investment necessary to adapt the business activity to new consumption habits (capacity control applications, tablets, customer management programs, etc.) and hygiene (cleaning or disinfection equipment).
The maximum amount of the subsidy will be 1,000 euros per person, regardless of the line requested. The potential beneficiaries will be businesses in Mallorca, self-employed and companies with a maximum of five workers, with tax domicile in the island, that develop activities affected by the declaration of the state of alarm.
