Call from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism to finance actions to support Innovative Business Groups -AEI- and collaborative R&D&I projects that improve the competitiveness of SMEs, strategic autonomy, digital transformation and ecological transition.

Eligible actions:

Actions to support the operation of AEI.
Technical feasibility studies to prepare future national or European R&D&I projects.
Research, development and innovation projects focused on strategic autonomy, digitalization and ecological transition.
Cooperative R&D&I projects to respond to strategic challenges.
Technical personnel directly linked to the project.
Administrative personnel, in the cases foreseen.
External collaborations and consulting services related to the project.
Innovation advisory and support services.
Intercity travel and lodging necessary for the execution of the project.
Other costs strictly necessary when foreseen in the call for proposals.

Innovative Business Groups registered in the AEI Registry of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.
Entities associated with such AEI, provided that their registration is valid on the date of publication of the call.
In innovation projects in favor of SMEs within lines 3 and 4, the beneficiaries must be considered SMEs.
Companies in crisis and companies subject to an outstanding recovery order for illegal or incompatible aid are not eligible.
The actions must fit into one of the lines foreseen by the program:
- Line 1: support for the operation of AEI.
- Line 2: technical feasibility studies.
- Line 3: R&D&I projects linked to strategic autonomy, digital transformation and ecological transition.
- Line 4: cooperative R&D&I projects to respond to strategic challenges.
Line 3 requires cooperation with a minimum of two SMEs, in addition to the applicant AEI.
Line 4 requires cooperation with a minimum of three AEIs, including the applicant, and five SMEs.
Each participant must assume a minimum contribution to the eligible budget according to the corresponding line.
There must be an agreement or contract between the participants that regulates rights, obligations and participation in the project.
The project must have a technical project manager.

🗓️ Deadline for submission: from 30.05.2026 to 26.06.2026 at 18:00 h.

Total budget: €9,000,000.
Industrial research: up to 50%, extendable up to 80% in certain cases.
Experimental development: up to 25%, extendable up to 60% in certain cases.
Innovation in favor of SMEs: up to 50%.
Innovation in processes or organization: up to 50% for SMEs and up to 15% for large companies when they effectively collaborate with SMEs.
