Description

European call for COST projects that support scientific, technological, economic, cultural or social progress in Europe, promoting collaboration between different areas and disciplines.

Eligible actions:

  • Organization of meetings, workshops and conferences
  • Short-term Science Missions (STSMs)
  • Training schools for researchers and innovators
  • International congresses
  • Communication and dissemination activities
  • Virtual networking tools

Important: COST Actions are open and inclusive networks, so you can join and participate even after the Action has started, even if you have not been in the proposal phase.

Beneficiaries

Applicant requirements

  • Be affiliated to an organization in a COST member country (the nationality of the applicant does not count, only the nationality of the institution).

  • Universities, research centers, companies, SMEs, NGOs and public or private sector.

  • Applicants are welcome at any stage of their research or professional career.

  • Young researchers and innovators (<40 years old) are eligible for specific mobility and conference grants.

Project requirements

There are different forms of participation:

  • As a member of the Working Group (continuous participation).
  • On the Management Committee (2 seats per member country).
  • Occasionally in activities: meetings, workshops, conferences, training schools, STSM, virtual mobility grants, congresses, dissemination.
Dates and deadlines

Deadline for submission: Open until 21.10.2025, at 12 noon.

Budget

Maximum grant per application

  • 125,000 the first year and €150,000 per year for the following three years.

  • Funding covers only networking activities, such as meetings, workshops, STSM, training schools, outreach and virtual tools.

Important:

  • The money is allocated to the entire Action, not to an individual applicant; the funds are distributed among all participants according to the activities carried out.

  • The final allocation depends on budget availability and the criteria defined by each COST Action.
