Grants to offset fuel costs and rising raw material prices for self-employed individuals and industrial SMEs in the Balearic Islands 2026

Description

Call for grant applications aimed at offsetting the economic impact resulting from rising fuel costs and higher raw material prices affecting self-employed individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial sector of the Balearic Islands, as a consequence of the economic situation caused by the war in the Middle East.

Eligible activities

Program I. Fuel Cost Reimbursement

Fuel costs related to the following will be subsidized:

  • Internal and external freight transport.
  • Machinery used in business operations.
  • Fuel storage facilities for internal use.

Eligible fuels will include gasoline, diesel, natural gas, LPG, LNG, biofuels, hydrogen, AdBlue, renewable fuels, and methanol.

Program II. Compensation for the increase in raw material prices

Subsidies will be provided for the costs of raw materials used in the company’s production process when:

  • be integrated into the production process.
  • Be subject to transformation.
  • They are a physical or functional part of the final product.

In addition, procurement costs must have accounted for more than 40% of the company’s total operating costs in 2025

Beneficiaries

The following individuals are eligible to apply for this assistance:

  • Self-employed individuals engaged in industrial production in the Balearic Islands.
  • Industrial companies with manufacturing operations in the Balearic Islands.
  • Self-employed individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction sector classified under Division 5 of the IAE.
  • Companies listed in the industrial registries or, where applicable, in the Registry of Accredited Companies (REA).

Applicants must have their registered office in the Balearic Islands and be in good standing with regard to their tax and Social Security obligations.

Dates and deadlines

Application period: from June 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. until June 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Budget

Eligible expenses

Expenses must be directly related to the company’s business activities, pertain to business locations in the Balearic Islands, and have been invoiced and paid between February 28 and December 31, 2026.

Fuel Program

  • €1,000 per vehicle for certain categories of N1 vehicles and specific codes.
  • €2,000 per vehicle for all other eligible categories.
  • Costs associated with fuel storage facilities for internal use may also be included.

Maximum limits per beneficiary

  • Mallorca: up to €20,000.
  • Menorca and Ibiza: up to €22,500.
  • Formentera: up to €25,000
