Global BioImaging launches the Imaging 4 All (i4A) initiative, funded by the Wellcome Trust, with the aim of boosting scientific imaging research in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) through access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and specialized training 🌍🔬.
🎯 Program objective
To provide researchers and scientific infrastructure personnel with access to:
Advanced imaging equipment
Hands-on classroom training
Expert advice on imaging and data management techniques
🔹 Access Track
Access to any national or international imaging infrastructure
Stays of about 2 weeks
Development of tests, experiments or specialized techniques
🔹 Pro Track
Advanced job shadowing experience
Aimed at personnel with experience in microscopy or infrastructure management.
Stays of 3-4 weeks
Only in Global BioImaging network infrastructures
🔹 Training Track
Hands-on classroom training in:
Imaging techniques
Data processing and management
Management of scientific platforms
Not applicable to events organized directly by GBI.
