Innova Invest Program of ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, E.P.E. (ICEX Spain Export and Investments).

These subsidies are aimed at promoting investments in Spain with a high innovative component, carried out by companies with a majority participation of foreign capital. They are part of Spain’ s Multiregional Program ERDF 2021-2027 and seek to strengthen R&D&I capabilities in the country.
These grants are aimed at industrial research and experimental development projects that contribute to improving competitiveness and integration with the national productive and research fabric.

Companies with their own legal personality, incorporated and with presence in Spain (branch or permanent establishment).
They must be SMEs or small mid-cap companies (up to 499 employees).
The company must have at least 50% foreign capital.
They cannot be in a situation of “company in crisis” or have debts with ICEX or the public administration.
Comply with regulations on equality, foreign investment and payment of suppliers.

Opening of the call for applications: Day following publication in the BOE (January 28, 2025).
Deadline for submission of applications: March 28.
Maximum duration of eligible projects: 24 months.

Financing limit per beneficiary: Up to 800,000 euros.
Maximum annual budget: 150 million euros.
Percentage of funding:
- Industrial research: up to 70% for small companies, 60% for medium-sized companies and 50% for large companies.
- Experimental development: up to 45% for small companies, 35% for medium-sized companies and 25% for large companies.
