Research Training Grants (FPI / FPI-E) 2025 – Illes Balears

The call is open to finance the hiring of predoctoral research personnel in R&D centers in the Balearic Islands, within the framework of the ESF+ program 2021-2027.

☑️ Who can apply

Beneficiary entities

R&D centers located in the Balearic Islands, both public and private, can apply for these grants, provided that:

comply with the requirements of Article 13 of Law 38/2003 General Law on Subsidies.
accredit administrative, financial and operational capacity to assume the obligations of the call for proposals.

Candidates (pre-doctoral researchers)

They must meet the requirements of point seven of the bases, among them:

a university degree that allows access to a doctorate degree
admission or enrollment in a doctoral program
not having previously received equivalent aid
comply with the specific conditions of the pre-doctoral contract

🗓️ Key dates

Opening of the term: November 21, 2025
Deadline: December 22, 2025 at 12:00 a.m.
Presentation: exclusively telematic, by means of digital certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve Permanente.

💰 What expenses are eligible / Amounts

The grants finance:

Hiring of predoctoral research personnel, including:
- salary
- Social Security
- end-of-contract indemnity according to regulations.
Doctoral academic fees, including:
- academic supervision
- file opening and maintenance
- thesis defense.

Planned allocation:

26 FPI/FPI-E grants
Estimated lump sum: 3.6 M€.
