Torres Quevedo Grants (PTQ) 2025

The State Research Agency (AEI) is launching a new call for Torres Quevedo 2025 Grants, within the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2024-2027. These grants seek to promote the incorporation of doctoral research personnel in companies and innovation entities.

Objective:

Encourage the hiring of PhDs in companies, technology centers and other innovation entities, strengthening the professional research career and the demand for R&D in the private sector, as well as the consolidation of recently created technology companies.

Beneficiaries:

Companies (including spin-offs and Young Innovative Companies).
Technology centers and technological innovation support centers.
Business associations.
Science and technology parks (Public sector entities and entities in crisis are not eligible).

Key conditions:

The jobs must be located in Spain.
Aid intensities are calculated in accordance with the General Block Exemption Regulation (Art. 25).
The grants for the second and third annuity will be equal to those of the first, provided that the initial conditions are maintained.

Application deadline: November 27 – December 18, 2025 (until 2:00 p.m., Spanish mainland time)

Duration of aid: 3 years

Total budget: 20,100,000 €.

Financing: Grant – competitive bidding system.

Fundable items:

Hiring costs (gross salary + employer’s social security contributions).
Cofinancing of salaries and social security contributions of contracted research personnel.
The grants are intended for R&D activities in addition to those already carried out by the entity.
400,000 is reserved for hiring people with disabilities (≥33%).
