The Balearic Islands Agri-Food and Fisheries Research and Training Institute (IRFAP) is a public business entity attached to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment. It is managed by Georgina Brunet Ródenas.
Its headquarters are located in Eusebi Estada street in Palma, although it also has other sub-offices in Son Ferriol, Puerto de Andratx and Ciutadella.
IRFAP’s main functions are: firstly, to support the agricultural and agri-food sector from an institutional and specialized advisory point of view; secondly, to provide training and research; and thirdly, to control, certify and monitor production and the accompanying standards.
