The Mallorca Preservation Foundation was created in May 2017 with the goal of conserving Mallorca’s incredible beauty and environmental quality in an attempt to transform it into a model of sustainable management for the island and achieve lasting positive change. To achieve this goal, Mallorca Preservation raises funds from individuals and entities who care passionately about Mallorca to support local organizations focused on protecting, preserving and sustaining the island. Key areas of focus include marine conservation, ecological agriculture, promoting environmental education, marine conservation and sustainable development.
MARINE CONSERVATION: The richness and quality of our coastline is one of the greatest environmental values of Mallorca, so the protection of our waters is essential for us.
SUSTAINABILITY: Fossil fuel emissions, waste and pollution are major problems.
ORGANIC AGRICULTURE: Local and sustainable agriculture defines our landscape and provides cultural and gastronomic value.
BIODIVERSITY: The potential loss of biodiversity is a great challenge. In the Balearic Islands we have more than 300 endemic species and many are in danger of extinction.
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION: Through awareness and education we can empower people to take responsibility for their impact on the planet.
