This holistic approach is key to addressing global health challenges, as people’s well-being is deeply linked to the natural environment and animals.

By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, BIOIB promotes projects that promote sustainability, innovation and the protection of all ecosystems, contributing to a healthier and more balanced future for the Balearic Islands and the world.

Mission

BIOIB’s mission is to lead the economic transformation of the Balearic Islands through the promotion of R+D+i (Research, Development and Innovation) in the biosanitary sector.

BIOIB works to create a legal, political and economic environment that favors this transformation, with the aim of positioning R&D&I as a key element for the economic and social development of the region.

Vision

BIOIB’s vision is to turn R&D&I into the main engine of economic transformation of the Balearic Islands, at the service of society and sustainability.

BIOIB aspires that innovation in biotechnology and biomedicine will not only drive economic growth, but also improve the quality of life of the region’s citizens and contribute to the general welfare.
